The Opening round of the GNCC proved to be a huge success for the Moose Racing team, the following round in Georgia, not quite as well. Nonetheless, the riders battled it out and several made podium finishes.
In the AM ATV race, Katelyn Osburn showed once again that she is a top contender for the championship with a second place finish.
Later on Saturday the XC1 riders tore up the track for two hours as “The Gator” Adam McGill grabbed a second place finish and a spot on the podium where he played to the crowd. Moose was well represented just off the podium as Cole Richardson, Brycen Neal and Jarrod McClure finished 4th, 5th and 6th respectively.
In The FMF XC3 125 Pro-Am Class, Cody Barnes took the top spot after a second place last week and sits atop the point standings.
On Sunday it was the bike turn and in the AM race on the WXC side, Tayla Jones had a rough go when she lost a tire, but still managed to fight back with a podium finish in third. Newly signed racer Rachel Gutish finished just off the podium in fourth, with Yamaha Offroad’s Rachael Archer finishing behind her in 5th and Brooke Cosner had an early exit finishing ninth.
After last weeks big win, Tely Energy KTM’s Steward Baylor Jr was looking to take that top spot in Georgia. Despite battling hard and running well Baylor finished fourth with Babbitt’s Kawasaki’s Josh Strang just behind him in fifth and his teammate Jordan Ashburn finished 7th.
The Monster Energy Supercross headed to Indianapolis and set up in Lucas Oil Field for Round 11 of the season. In the 250 final, Cycle Trader Rock River Yamaha’s Brandon Hatranft started in the 12th position and that is where he stayed with a 12th place finish keeping him in the top 10 overall.
