The GNCC Heads to West Virginia

(Tayla Jones)

The Moose Racing support crew is back on the road this weekend as Round 11 of the AMSOIL GNCC Series takes place at Marvin’s Mountain Top in Masontown, WV.  The Rocky Mountain ATV/MC Mountaineer Run is set up at a venue that has long been known for hosting huge music festivals, but also their share of local hare scramble events prior to becoming a regular addition on the GNCC schedule in 2012.  If you are at the races this weekend, be sure to stop by and see us for a 2018 catalog, free stickers and the opportunity to sign up for our social media blasts.

(Grant Baylor)

Fresh off a successful weekend of racing at the Lead Belt National Enduro in Missouri, the KR4 Arrive-N-Ride Husqvarna Team will be out in full force with a full stable of entries including Grant Baylor who will be looking to parlay his 2nd place overall finish last week into another visit to the podium.  Tayla Jones will also be on hand and is going to try her hand at racing the XC3 Pro Class on a TC125.  Jones already clinched the Women’s Class Championship so she feels like she is up to the challenge of racing against the men.  She will be joined by another Moose Racing sponsored rider in Jason Thomas who will be contending his own effort in the XC3 Pro Class as well.

Marvin’s Mountain Top isn’t your typical GNCC race because of the rocky terrain which is mixed with clay and excellent top soil.  The grass track sections should provide ample opportunities for riders and teams to set up for strategic passing and the service areas and refueling stops will be crucial as well as the teams set up for the ultimate strategy to win the race.  The action kicks off at 8:00AM on Saturday with the ATVs and the bikes will hit the track at the same time on Sunday.

Round 2 of the 2017 Endurocross Series Presented by Moose Racing will stay in The Silver State of Nevada this weekend.  Following an exciting opening round in Las Vegas, the series moves to the Reno-Sparks Livestock Center and should provide the same exciting action fans have come to expect.  Moose Racing has been a proud sponsor of this series since its inception and we wish all the competitors the best of luck as they take on the challenging course.

Moose Racing is currently accepting rider resumes for the 2018 racing season and will do so through November 15th.  If you, or someone you know, is an aspiring racer and would like to join our team next year, please check out the following link

Tire Levers

Tire, tube and wheel changes are an inevitable by-product of riding and racing.  Most riders aren’t afraid to tackle the job by themselves, but you need the right tools to do the job.  For years Moose Racing has offered a number of different Tire Irons, but our newest offering is our Tire Levers.  This innovative multi-use tire tool has an axle nut wrench on one end and a tire spoon on the other for easy removal and installation.

Each of the four sizes we offer has an ergonomic design and the heavy-duty forged steel construction is perfect for shop use.  We made them in a handy 10” length to fit in your rider pack in case you need to use them along the trail.  At $16.95 retail they are a “must have” tool in your trail arsenal and you can see them all here
