(Jacob Hayes & Gavin Faith)
It was another big weekend of Arenacross racing for the Moose Racing team as the Babbitt’s Monster Energy Kawasaki Team swept the first two podium spots in an exciting Saturday night of racing action. Once again, the team was led by two-time defending champ Gavin Faith who started the evening by posting the 3rd fastest qualifying time. Just ahead of Faith in qualifying was teammate Jacob Hayes who was 2nd.
Faith and Hayes took to the track for Heat #1 where they would finish 1st and 2nd, but they knew they would face strong challenges in both main events. That didn’t deter the two as they both ended up running in the top two spots in both races with the result seeing Faith on top of the podium after the checkers fell with Hayes right behind him in 2nd. The East Coast Lites Class would also be a competitive race with the Babbitt’s Team posting another spot on the box where Isaac Teasdale brought home a 3rd place finish.
The AMA Monster Energy Supercross Series took their show to NRG Stadium in Houston, TX on Saturday night and a pair of Moose Racing riders would also get their chance in the main event. The evening’s final races started out with the West Coast Lites Class and it was Cycle Trader Rock River Yamaha Motorsport’s Bradley Taft who would post a top 10 finish in 8th overall. The evening’s main show provided an opportunity for Alex Ray to move up in the point’s standings. Ray battled hard with the best riders on the planet and when everything was said and done he would end up inside the top 20 with a 17th overall position.
