Moose Racing – The Inside Line

After taking the Easter holiday weekend off, most of the major race series are back in action this weekend.  Things are winding down for the AMA Monster Energy Supercross Series and the AMA AMSOIL Arenacross Series so those are of particular attention to race fans throughout the country.  JGR Yoshimura Suzuki’s Phil Nicoletti continues his long and arduous rehab process with the hopes of seeing some action during the outdoor National MX season.  In the meantime, he is staying close to the team and offering any help he can to the rest of his teammates.

Gavin Faith takes an eight point lead into this weekend’s Arenacross event in Denver, CO and is joined in the top 10 by teammates Gared Steinke (5th) and Travis Sewell (6th).  The Babbitt’s Monster Energy Kawasaki team is locked and loaded and looking forward to the stretch run.  There will be a special tribute to our nation’s active service members as well as other armed forces veterans in attendance so look for the team to be running our red, white and blue gear in honor of those who have served or are still serving.

The AMA AMSOIL GNCC Series heads to South Carolina this weekend for Round 5 where a number of Moose Racing sponsored riders will be well rested and hungry for action.  This is the second year for this facility to hold a round and it is a favorite among riders and fans featuring ponds for fishing, a rope swing for cooling off and much more to see.  We have a couple of Top 10 riders in the premier XC1 Bike Class including Beta Racing’s Jordan Ashburn (7th) along with KR4 Husqvarna Racing’s Grant Baylor (8th).  KR4 also rounds out the first tier of XC2 rider’s with Jesper Borjesson in 10th.  They are also seeing success in the newly formed XC3 Class where Hunter Neuwirth is in 4th and Tayla Jones is obliterating the WXC Class with four wins in four rounds.

On the ATV side of the action, the XC1 ATV Class sees Adam McGill sitting in 3rd, Jarrod McClure is 5th and Marty Christofferson is 9th.  There is sure to be some exciting action in all of the classes so spectators will be in for a treat as many Moose Racing riders will be hunting podium spots on Moree’s Sportsman’s Preserve.

 Connecting Rods

If you are diving in to an engine rebuild of any sort this spring prior to the summer riding season, you may be in the market for a set of our High-Performance Connecting Rods.  We have teamed up with CP Carillo to bring you the highest quality professional connecting rods on the market.  They are 100% machined from an oversized forging that ensures proper grain flow and consistency throughout the manufacturing process.

They are made from a proprietary material containing specific amounts of chrome, nickel, moly and vanadium for ultimate strength and durability.  They are also engineered to be lighter and stronger than stock rods.  They are designed to fit OEM bearings and crank pins and your best results will be to pair them with our Moose Racing Piston Kits.  Proudly made in the USA, you are going to want to check them out here
