Nicoletti Cracks the Top 10 in Phoenix!

University of Phoenix Stadium in Scottsdale, AZ played host to Round 4 of the AMA Monster Energy Supercross Series and Moose Racing’s Phil Nicoletti finally cracked the Top 10 after some tough luck at previous events.  Nicoletti started out his night in fine fashion by placing 2nd in his heat race and easily transferring to the evening’s main event.  When the green flag fell to start the action, the JGR Yoshimura Suzuki rider would run up with the top three and continued to battle for a podium spot, but as the race wore on he would fall back and ultimately finish in 9th place overall.  Phil continues to make strides each week and will look to keep climbing up the leader board when the series heads to Oakland this weekend.

Nashville, TN was the site of Round 4 of the AMSOIL Arenacross Series this past Saturday night and our Babbitt’s Monster Energy Kawasaki riders were out in full force once again.  In the premier 250 AX Class, it was Gavin Faith who would once again make the most noise.  After setting the fastest qualifying time he would get 2nd in his heat race and be ready for the two-race main events.  The bracket winner would see him get a 2nd place finish in the first main, but fall to 4th in the second one for a 2nd place overall finish on the evening.  Newly signed teammate Gared Steinke finished just out of the top five in 6th overall for the evening and Travis Sewell would end up 12th.

In the Arenacross Lites Class, Jacob Williamson was dominant all evening.  He set the fastest qualifying time, finished 1st in his heat race and 1st overall in the main event as well.  Teammate Cody Williams had a tougher go of things and would end his night in 14th place.unspecified-1

The Airgroup/Enduro Engineering Husqvarna Racing Team took part in Round1 of the AMA East Coast National Hare Scrambles Series this weekend as well.  Pro Rider Andrew Delong found his way to the podium with a 3rd place overall finish and AA Expert rider Thorn Devlin also made a trip to the box finishing in 2nd place in his class.  The team now heads to Sumter, SC for Round 1 of the NEPG National Enduro Series on February 5th.
